Spring Has Returned
By Esteeri Kabonero

The season of spring signifies, the season of bouncing back from the harsh winters and bringing in new life.

Trees during spring start to turn from a bleak shade to colors ranging from red to blue. The grasses are much greener. Flowers are out which gives spring its distinct smell.

Not only is spring the beauty season, but it is also a sign to students that the school year is almost over. Seniors are preparing to head for college to start a new chapter in their life. Juniors, sophomores, and freshmen are getting ready to finish the last quarter of the year.

What we can all look forward to is the warm weather. Personally, I have grown tried with this prolonged winter. I am happy to leave the cold temperature, bring on the sun. Isn’t it wonderful when you can take a Popsicle and feel refreshed from the heat, instead of getting chills?

There is a ton of activities to do in the spring. “It’s too cold” is not an excuse anymore to not go outside. Bike riding is a great spring activity that can be refreshing when the warm wind is blowing in your face. As we get closer to spring, swimming pools start to open which is one of the best activities to do outside. Walking, sports, and various games are all best during this warm season.

During the spring we see brighter colors outside, but we also see brighter colors on clothes. Winter fashion was mainly blacks, grays, and browns. What spring brings is the yellows and the reds back into the mix. People will begin to wear colorful short sleeves, shorts, skirts, and finally the sandals.

The long winter will not stop the spring weather from coming. The signs are all around us. The flowers are blooming and there is color everywhere, and of course, the warm weather.
