Ram spirit has just been kicked up a notch as the school mascot has finally been unveiled for the rest of the season on the 50-yard line at Joseph B. Goode Stadium.
The much anticipated mascot was put into place just in time for the first game at Joseph B. Goode Stadium of the 08 football season. In my opinion, the new emblem is awesome! It makes the field look good, said junior Serge Tindong. You cannot disrespect a team with that nice of an emblem on their field.
While watching NFL games on TV, one of the first things focused on before the game begins is the emblem in the middle of the field. The imposing mascot showing what the team can do and demanding respect and. Some may even find it very intimidating.
[The emblem] may make the opposing team believe that Rams football is a big force. It will also make the team play with more pride and heart. It would be disappointing to lose on their field with their own mascot there, said junior Johnny Dubbaneh.
The emblem may even attract more viewers to the games. The fact that money was raised to put an emblem there shows the dedication RHS has to their football games, gaining admiration from students and fans. I think it shows that we put a lot of time into designing a new emblem for our football field that will boast our school spirit to the opposing teams, said sophomore football fan Ben Withnell.
