Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 2 Preview

Written by Arianna Eisendrath On March - 3 - 2011

The time is coming. The long wait is almost over- tickets go on sale April 3, and the movie comes out July 15. If you are a Harry Potter fan, you will know exactly what I am talking about … Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II!

This movie begins at Chapter 15 of the very last book in the Harry Potter Series, and is one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year. People will line up outside theaters to buy tickets. They will wait for days, and sometimes even pay more than twice the original price for tickets. Some of the more obsessed fans will even go to the theaters dressed up as characters from the books.

Directed by David Yates, this movie concludes the seven-part saga that is the Harry Potter Series. Written by J.K Rowling, these books tell the story of Harry Potter, a wizard-in-training who has to defeat the evil he Who Must Not Be Named in order to save the wizarding world from mortal peril.

In the past, each book has been incorporated into only one movie. This time, Yates has decided that the seventh book is too long, and they have decided not to try to cram all the information into just one movie.

Along with the conclusion of the story, come the infamous epilogue; a short chapter showing how Harry lives happily ever after and gets married and has bunches of little wizardy kids. This epilogue proved to be an interesting choice for Rowling to write, as many fans were upset by the ending and would have preferred to be able to imagine their own.

Correspondingly, the epilogue will be included at the end of the movie, and we will get a chance to see Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint wearing old person makeup and pushing strollers and doing all sorts of grown up stuff.

These actors are now internationally known, but before the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, came out they were just three average kids. Over the course of the filming, they have grown as both actors, and as people.

Daniel Radcliffe was just 11 years old when filming began for the first movie, and now that filming has ended on the last he is already 21. Of course, growing up on the set of Harry Potter is something that a person could never forget, and the actors will take that experience with them wherever they choose to go in life.
